Day 2

Talk about your piercings or tattoos, if you have any.

Things I have pierced:
earlobes. 3 holes in each ear
tongue. 1 stud

I got my tongue done first and my ears after. I went to Hollywood to get info and talk to the piercer about getting my tongue done then I impulse just did it. I threw up the next day which was a horrible experience because my tongue was so swollen. I also will always think of how pretty the lights at the Pantages looked when I was in my post piercing adrenaline high haze when I go down that street.

I really like the captive bead ring I have through the top two holes in my ear. I got it done during Musink when Courtney got her Avett Bros bird on her forearm. We saw Atreyu play that night and left the dog home alone while we were gone all day.

Sir freaking out after his long day.

Our Effortless Friendship Fits Perfectly With My Laziness

As many of you know, I keep my life on post its. I have decided to keep them and various other notes that I write to myself in a notebook.

I am still undecided on getting a second piercing in my earlobes. Thoughts?

Super Tuesday is upon us. I think the LA Times put it best articulates what it is about Barak Obama that I find so appealing. He is the change that I think our country needs (btw I totally typed Courtney instead of country the first time).
I find him inspiring. Yes, We Can!

I was browsing through the facebooks as a procrastination tool and I have decided a couple things:
1. you should always proofread.
2. you should know how to use ellipses properly if you are going to include them in your favorite anything.

Jordan and I had a really intense conversation the other night. It had a lot to do with the difference between being asked out to an event that is being put on by an organization that either of us is a part of and going out as friends. I also ended up spilling some of my guts to Foss about how it can be hard to infiltrate the Theta Xi group of friends (much in the same way that Jordan says he doesn't "get" the band). In any case, I think I have figured out some strategies to deal.

Stay Like This Forever

I am having a really hard time managing my time. Mostly because I'd rather sleep and do nothing than do anything at all. I am going to fail at being a productive member of society as a gainfully employed adult.
I have about a metric shit ton of reading to do every week. So far I have been able to stay on track and get it all done, but I feel like it is all that I do. (note: it most definitely is not all that I do, but it just feels like it)
I guess the real issue is that I feel like I get nothing done in a day, though I may read blog after blog and pages upon pages of readings. It is a strange feeling to deal with. It is odd how sitting at a computer often makes you feel like you aren't doing anything when in fact you are often doing a lot. And in the case of much of my reading, dealing with some really complex ideas and problems etc.

I am considering going to a piercer to get a second earlobe piercing. If I do I am going to have them put in my CBRs. I am a flip flopper on the prospect.

I recently started a twitter thing. I sort of like it, though it does seem like it is just adding to the plethora of things that I have to update. I don't want everything to become clutter. I like that I can update from my phone. I wrote about it in my response paper (see other blog) and, to summarize the beginning, I have developed a complex system of what kinds of status updates go where and why. It is a strange negotiation that I have made with all these outlets.
